Competitors’ age to be taken as on 1st September.

BECKENHAM FESTIVAL MUSICIAN OF THE YEAR  
Sunday 27th November 2016, 2pm at Marian Vian School.

Some of the Festival’s most outstanding music competitors will be invited to perform for a maximum of 10 minutes before an adjudicating panel. All performers will receive a certificate and a medal. The winner will receive a special trophy, the Tom and Pat Sowerby Award and a cash prize of £100. The Maxine Kwok and Daniel Bates Cup will be awarded to an outstanding string or woodwind player. Admission is free and the public are warmly invited to attend.

MUSIC SECTION ADDITIONAL RULES

1.   Copies of all own choice music must be provided for the adjudicator on the day. Competitors are reminded of the laws regarding the photocopying of music – see Festival Rules no. 5.

2.   No recorded accompaniment, backing tracks or karaoke will be allowed
